Indian equities ended on a higher note on Friday. Markets had a gap down opening on weak global cues. US markets overnight closed in red on weak economic reports.

Indian markets plunged on Wednesday tracking negative cues from the global peers. Nifty opened below 4900 and continued to slip downwards as the session progressed.

Cadila Healthcare (Cadila) reported lower-than-expected numbers for 4QFY2012, except on the sales front. The company's sales for the quarter were mostly in-line at Rs.1344cr.
